Pasig River Project Phase 1

The Pasig River Urban Development Project’s West Showcase Area is a key portion of Segment 2 of the development masterplan led by the Inter-Agency Council for the Pasig River Urban Development [ IAC-PRUD ], created under Executive Order No. 35, series of 2023.  The project aims to revitalize the Pasig River by transforming it into a center for community engagement and tourism, while also restoring its ecological integrity and enhancing transportation connectivity across Metro Manila and nearby regions.

The West Showcase Area that includes Phase 1, 2 and 3 are designed to feature recreational amenities such as jogging paths, bike lanes, kiosks and fountains for public use. The project promotes a pedestrian-friendly environment through a 6-meter-wide esplanade and shared pedestrian-bicycle pathways, complemented by landscaped easements.

Effluent water from commercial establishments will be treated through a dedicated Sewage Treatment Plant [ STP ] to protect the surrounding environment, to improve accessibility and comfort with strategically located restrooms for both men and women will be installed throughout the area.

A transition bridge beneath the historic Jones Bridge will connect all phases of the Showcase Area, ensuring seamless and uninterrupted movement for pedestrians and cyclists between various sections of the development.
